Which services fall under “postnatal counseling?”
Initial Visits, Follow Up Care, Pump Like a Pro, Troubleshoot.
What is the purpose of an initial visit?
From the comfort of your own home, we will work together to address whatever your concerns may be. I will observe a feeding, address all questions, provide guidance on how to resolve issues, and support you as you work through your breastfeeding journey.
What is the purpose of follow-up care?
Once we’ve established a baseline, we can quickly get up to date and troubleshoot any issues you may be having since your initial appointment.
What is the purpose of the Pump Like a Pro?
We will discuss everything you need to know to be successful at pumping. This may include selecting a pump, pump familiarization, measuring for correct flange sizing, safe milk handling and storage, and navigating a return to work.
What’s the purpose of the Troubleshooting Visit?
During the Troubleshoot Visit, we will meet virtually and I will answer up to 3 questions you have. This is not a full visit and will not require a health history. Latch assessment/feeding assessment cannot be completed during this visit.
What’s the purpose of After - Hours Care?
The After Hours visits ensure you're able to receive compassionate care when the unexpected arises outside of regular hours. These visits are Virtual Only, available between 9pm and 11pm MST.
What does an Initial Visit look like?
It starts with a thorough intake form. This will allow me to review your history and concerns, and come to our appointment as prepared as possible. During the appointment, I will start by getting to know you and your baby, and listening to your concerns. Then I’ll observe a feed, and give guidance to improve your situation. It’s a great time to ask ALL the questions you can think of! (I find it most helpful to have a running list of them. As you think of something, add it to the list)
…And then?
I’ll write up a concise visit summary, include pertinent charts or diagrams, and add in plenty of great resources.
